Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce Setup

Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce plugin requires 3 important steps in the setup process:

  1. Plugin installation
  2. Connection with your MainWP Dashboard
  3. MainWP Child Reports plugin installed on your child sites

Plugin Installation

Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce is a WooCommerce plugin extension and it requires the WooCommerce plugin installed and activated. The plugin doesn’t have to be installed on the same site where you have the MainWP Dashboard plugin running. On the contrary, it’s highly recommended to install the plugin on a dedicated website that will be used for displaying client reports and for selling WordPress maintenance services.
  1. Login into your site that you have dedicated to Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce
  2. Make sure that the WooCommerce plugin has been installed and activated on the site
  3. Install the Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce plugin

Connection with your MainWP Dashboard

If you don’t have MainWP Dashboard plugin set and child sites connected, please check following documentation.

To establish the connection between your MainWP Dashboard and the Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce plugins, you need to do following:

  1. Login into your MainWP Dashboard site
  2. Go to the MainWP > Settings > Managed Client Reports Responder pageManaged Client Reports for WooCommerce - Connection Settings
  3. Enter the URL of the website where you have the Manged Client Reports for WooCommerce plugin installed
  4. Select the Allow Access option (by selecting this option, you are allowing connection to your MainWP Dashboard)
  5. Optionally, select the option to generate a Security ID key
  6. Click the Save Settings button
  7. Login into your site that you have dedicated to Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce
  8. Go to the WooCommerce > Client Reports > Settings > Connect Dashboards pageConnect Dashboard
  9. Enter your MainWP Dashboard URL
  10. If you have generated a Security ID, enter it in the Unique security ID field
  11. Click the Connect Dashboard button

From this point, your Managed Client Reports for WooCommerce plugin can communicate with your MainWP Dashboard and Child sites.

MainWP Child Reports plugin installed on your child sites

If you are already using the MainWP Client Reports extension, you probably have the MainWP Child Reports plugin set on all your child sites and you can skip this step. However, if you are not using the extension, you need to install the MainWP Child Reports plugin on all your Child Sites.

  1. Login into your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Plugins > Install page
  3. Enter “MainWP Child Reports” in the search field
  4. Select all your Child Sites
  5. Make sure that the Activate after installation option is selected
  6. Click the button to complete the installation

From the moment the MainWP Child Reports plugin is activated on Child Sites, it will start recording performed actions on child sites and this data becomes available in reports.
