Update WordPress Core

Before running updates, it is highly recommended to Synchronize your Child Sites so you can be sure that there are no cached data and all available updates are listed.

MainWP > Updates page is just one place where you can perform updates from. The same feature is provided in the Update Overview widget on the MainWP Global and Individual Overview page.

Update All WordPress Installations

  1. Login into your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Updates page
  3. In the Updates option box
    1. Locate the WordPress Updates row (It will show a number of available updates followed by WordPress updates available)
    2. On the far rigth side of the row, locate the Update All button
    3. Press the button

Verification popup will appear and ask if you are sure you want to update everything. If you are sure, confirm, and the MainWP plugin will handle all updates.

Update a Single WordPress Installation

  1. Login into your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Updates page
  3. In the Updates option box
    1. Locate the WordPress Updates row (It will show a number of available updates followed by WordPress updates available)
    2. Click the “WordPress updates available” to display a list of sites that are waiting for WordPress Core update
    3. On the far rigth side of the row, locate the Update button
    4. Press the button

Verification popup will appear and ask if you are sure you want to update everything. If you are sure, confirm, and the MainWP plugin will handle all updates.
