User activity and change logs for every client site
WP Activity Log is a free MainWP add-on that keeps a log of user and system activity on your child sites and lets you view those logs from your MainWP Dashboard. To find out who changed a post, a user or a plugin, you check the logs of all your sites from your Dashboard in place of logging in to each site’s WP Admin. Melapress develops it, and since version 5.0 the MainWP support is part of the WP Activity Log plugin itself, so you install the same plugin on your child sites and on your Dashboard site.

Requirements
WP Activity Log runs on each child site, where it records that site’s activity, and on your MainWP Dashboard site, which shows the logs after you sync.

Install WP Activity Log on your child sites
- Install and activate the WP Activity Log plugin on your child sites.
Install WP Activity Log on your Dashboard site
- Install and activate WP Activity Log on the WordPress site running MainWP Dashboard.
Configure logging and sync your sites
- Open the WP Activity Log Settings from the MainWP menu.
- Choose which activities to track and set your notification preferences.
- Sync your MainWP Dashboard to see the activity logs from your child sites.

Is there a separate Activity Log extension for MainWP?
The Activity Log extension for MainWP has been part of the WP Activity Log plugin since version 5.0, released on May 22, 2024. Installing the plugin on your Dashboard site and child sites is all you need.
Does WP Activity Log record changes made in MainWP?
WP Activity Log on your Dashboard site records MainWP client changes since version 5.4.0, as event IDs 7718 to 7723: a client created, a client’s email address changed, a client’s status changed, a client deleted, and a site added to or removed from a client.
How do I get child site logs into MainWP?
Sync your MainWP Dashboard, and the child site logs from WP Activity Log appear there. The plugin needs to be version 5.0 or higher and active on the child site and on your Dashboard site.
What do I need to pay for?
WP Activity Log is a free add-on, and its MainWP integration is part of the WP Activity Log plugin itself. Melapress also offers a Premium edition of the plugin with extra features, such as notes on activity log events.
