Customize Tame and Date Format on your Dashboard

On your Dashboard you will notice that your Dashboard Plugin shows you time and date on various places: If you want to have custom time and date format in your Dashboard go to WordPress Settings: Set your custom settings and click the Save Changes button:

Offline Check Notification

If you use the Offline Check features by default your MainWP Dashboard is set to send you email notification only if your child site is down. If you set the Offline notification to YES: you will be notified after each check even if you child site is up.  

Quick Post Management

Recent Posts widget, on your MainWP Dashboard page, shows you last 5 posts from your network: Under the post title you can find tools to quickly Unpublish/Publish, Edit, Delete and View the post: [box] On the Individual Site Dashboard, you will be able to see last 5 posts only from the selected child site. [/box]  

Show Child Site Icon

MainWP Dashboard plugin allows you to show child site icons (favicons): If the option is enabled, icons will show in Manage Sites table and Select Sites box. By default, this option is enabled. To turn off that option, go to: MainWP > Dashboard > Settings > Global Option tab and locate Use Child Site Favicon option on Global Option options box and set on NO: and click the Save Settings button at the bottom of page.  

How to Change Users Password

If you want to change users password on your child sites, go to: MainWP > Dashboard > Users > Manage tab. Locate the search box and type wanted user name and select your sites: After clicking Search Users button, list will appear. Check the check box next to the user you want to change password to: In top right corner you need to write a new password and click Update Password button: After that your user password will be changed:    

Execute Backups in Chunks

    MainWP Dashboard allows you to set your backup tasks to run in chunks. That means that after you create a backup task, MainWP starts creating backup files for the first 5 sites. After the first five is done, the plugin is waiting for two minutes, and then continues with the next five sites, and so on until all sites are backed up. WordPress SEO by Yoast Update

We have had three users notify us that when they run the latest update from WordPress SEO by Yoast it causes the sites to throw a 404 error.  So far it only appears to affect sites using custom post types. At this point we are trying to track down the issue and recommend you do not update WordPress SEO by Yoast until we determine the issue. In the meantime if you have updated the plugin I would recommend doing a quick spot check of your sites and if you have an issue it can be resolved by re-saving your permalinks. If you

Upload and Update your Premium Themes (Plugins)

If you use a premium theme or plugins on your child site and automated updates are not available, you can upload and update them from your dashboard. To do that go to the Themes (Plugins) > Install Page. Click the Upload tab: Click the Upload Now button and upload your theme from your computer. After that select wanted sites. Make sure the Overwrite Existing options is checked and click the Install Now button: Your Theme (Plugin) will be overwritten by the newer version!

How to Change User Role

  To change a user role go to: MainWP > Users > Manage tab. Select wanted Child sites and enter a wanted username in search box: After you click Search Users button, users will appear in the table: Select wanted users and in the Change role to dropdown menu click on your new Role: After that click Change button and users roles will be changed:    

Schedule Posts on Child Sites from your Dashboard

  To schedule posts on your child sites go to:  MainWP > Posts and go to Add New tab: After preparing your content select wanted sites: Do not publish your articles yet. First locate the Publish box and click the Edit link next to do “Publish immediately” label. Scheduling options will appear. Set wanted time and date and click the OK button: Click the Schedule button:
