If you use the Offline Check features by default your MainWP Dashboard is set to send you email notification only if your child site is down. If you set the Offline notification to YES:
you will be notified after each check even if you child site is up.

The offline checks feature has been retired a few months ago. I would recommend the MainWP Advanced Uptime Monitor extension as a more advanced and reliable solution for uptime monitoring.
