Managing multiple WordPress sites is easier with the latest MainWP Dashboard 6.1.2 release. Along with stronger security and greater reliability, we’ve updated documentation for four extensions to provide clearer guidance and troubleshooting.

Product Updates

These updates focus on tighter access control, clearer site management, and a handful of practical fixes that make managing your MainWP Dashboard work more predictable.

For agencies and site care teams, this means better oversight when managing connected sites, fewer small workflow interruptions, and more reliable handling around hosting integrations and Dashboard navigation.

MainWP Dashboard 6.1.2

MainWP Dashboard 6.1.2 includes a focused set of security, reliability, and usability improvements for managing WordPress sites from your self-hosted Dashboard.

The update strengthens access control around MainWP’s bulkpost and bulkpage custom post type functionality by requiring the manage_options capability. This helps ensure those areas remain limited to users with the right level of administrative access.

Site management also gets a few cleaner workflow improvements:

  • The Manage Sites list now reflects site suspension status changes more reliably, so the Dashboard view better matches the actual state of your connected sites.
  • Custom post type category management now shows site associations through contextual tooltips and popups, making it easier to see which sites contain each category without extra digging.
  • Page navigation links that open in new tabs now include proper attributes to help protect user sessions.

This improves Plesk API URL construction by better handling slash combinations in request paths, reducing the chance of avoidable request errors. The Lighthouse Integration page also received a fix for a support modal overlay issue.

It is a practical maintenance release: tighter access rules, cleaner visibility, and fewer small interruptions while managing sites at scale.

Documentation Updates

The Google Analytics Extension guide now includes clearer setup requirements, including PHP 8.2+, plus new troubleshooting for Google accounts that repeatedly need re-verification or leave Pro Reports without analytics data.

The Post Dripper Extension article now better explains how drip sessions distribute content across selected sites, what cron reliability affects, and how to create or cancel drips for posts, pages, and Boilerplate content.

The Post Plus Extension documentation now reflects the current Content Operations workflow for saving, publishing, editing, and deleting drafts, with clearer guidance for random authors, categories, and publishing dates.

The Custom Post Types Extension guide now clarifies required Classic Editor setup, matching custom post type requirements, and the workflow to publish, search, edit, view, trash, and bulk edit custom post type content from MainWP Dashboard.

Keeping your MainWP Dashboard secure and reliable starts with the small improvements that make those small differences. MainWP Dashboard 6.1.2 brings stronger security, more reliable site management, and several practical improvements. We’ve also refreshed the documentation for the Google Analytics, Post Dripper, Post Plus, and Custom Post Types Extensions with clearer setup instructions and troubleshooting guidance.
