Last week’s core releases focused on more reliable monitoring, clearer update reporting, and fewer inconsistencies between the MainWP Dashboard and connected Child sites.
MainWP Dashboard 6.2.1 improves uptime monitoring across the site lifecycle. Enabling monitoring globally now restores affected monitors, missing primary monitors are repaired automatically, and removing a website also clears its related monitoring data.
Dashboard 6.2.1 also provides clearer plugin, theme, and translation upgrade status reporting, along with more consistent update and synchronization responses. REST API tag updates, database schema comparisons, and group record upgrades have been corrected, while unavailable version information is now left blank instead of showing an unreliable value.
Authenticated and renewal requests now use a longer, cryptographically random nonce. Tags are easier to read thanks to automatic text contrast, and the Edit Client and Edit User screens more clearly explain that blank fields preserve existing values on Child sites.
Dashboard 6.2.2 follows with a fix for a PHP fatal error that could occur when saving Monitoring settings.
MainWP Child 6.2.1 improves premium update reporting by returning results immediately and removing stale update entries after installation. It also expands the Unique Security ID guidance, covering automatic generation, regeneration, connection methods, and Dashboard updates.
Manage site tags through the API: The Sites API guide now covers replacing or clearing tag assignments, checking results, and handling edits that only partially succeed.
Staging to production: The Staging guide now explains Free and Pro setup, publishing through WP Staging Pro, and protecting newer live content when pushing changes.
Recover a failed uptime monitor: The Uptime Monitoring guide now shows how to retry primary monitor creation through the widget’s settings.
Resolve MCP connection problems: Expanded MCP troubleshooting guidance helps identify rejected credentials, find which connection settings are active, and reconnect after changing an Application Password.
Troubleshoot oversized MCP requests: The MCP configuration reference now explains input and request limits, with guidance on reducing or splitting requests when supported.
