Hang around in the MainWP Users Facebook group for a while and you’ll notice a familiar face. Rajendra Zore is one of the administrators for the group.

Who is this guy? Well, today, we take a moment to learn a little more about the tech entrepreneur from Mumbai, Maharashtra in India.

Tech Divine listed Zore as a Power Digital User.  The “Tech Entrepreneur, Brand Strategist, Marketer and Social Media Maven from Mumbai” is the founder of Host My Blog. These days, Zore is pouring most of his energy into the WordPress Support & Maintenance company.

About Rajendra, Ivica Delic said,

The internet is great, fantastic way to meet great people from other parts of the world. Many times I had the pleasure and honor to witness how knowledgeable and professionals some people from distant countries are. Rajendra is certainly one of those persons: organized, professional, eager to listen & learn; WordPress enthusiast, workaholic,  as the matter of fact, we have a lot of things in common. ? I am truly happy we “recognized” each other and with some other nice people – we are perfectly complementing our business skills. Looking forward to all the projects we are currently working and will work on.

Q & A  with Rajendra Zore of Host My Blog

What kind of tools/apps do you use to keep yourself on pace?

I start my day with G Suite (Mails & Calendar) followed by MainWP for a quick inspection & maintenance for all my customer’s sites. Throughout the day I browse a lot & come across loads of useful articles which I store using Pocket for later reading & sharing. Currently, most of the automation in my company is managed via WHMCS (hosting, domain, clients account, support tickets, invoice etc.). This year I have added Astra Agency Bundle to my Web Development Stack. Thanks to Ivica Delic for Freelancers Tools, I search the site for useful tools to solve problems or streamline my process.

Rajendra is a resourceful and courteous person. He takes pride and passion in his work and goes above and beyond when it comes to dedication. – Sujay Pawar, Founder – Astra Themes

What are your top three pieces of advice for other WordPress Professionals?

  1. WordPress ecosystem is dynamic, keep a watch on latest industry updates & scale up.

  2. Take on as many troubleshooting assignments as possible. This will sharpen your skills and benefit your business overall.

  3. Never stop experimenting new things to see what works best for you & your clients. Build your own stack with good products for development, hosting & maintenance.

What do you like to do for fun? What are your favorite hobbies?

Thanks to my Mom who taught me cooking when I was 11yrs old, I love to cook & experiment something new. I spend most of my weekends in the kitchen.

I’m also a fitness freak, I design my own workout routine and diet. When I skip gym routine, you will find me playing Table Tennis or watching Comedy videos on YouTube. I know that doesn’t sound much fun but that’s pretty much what I do to feel good.

What book or resource had the biggest impact on your career?

No book, but constant rejections & bitter work experiences were the biggest impact on my career as I finally decided to take the leap & become a full-time entrepreneur! I learn from my own mistakes & think critically.

How do you want to see WordPress improve?

I strongly feel that we need more attention towards WordPress Vulnerabilities, Security & Performance issues. At this level where almost 27% websites in the world are built on WordPress CMS, it should be lightweight & bundled with basic security layer which often comes as a recommendation but missed by the majority of non-techie users.

What do you see in the future of the WordPress ecosystem?

I’m positively looking forward to WordPress’ New Gutenberg Editor & hoping that the editor will be more user-friendly and intuitive than ever.

What was the best piece of advice you ever received in life and business?

Still hunting for a genuine mentor. However, following are the famous quotes I go by:

  • “Hope is a good thing. maybe the best of good things. and no good thing ever dies.” – The Shawshank Redemption

  • “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

What are some of your future goals for your business?

  • Maintain 100% positive customer feedback regarding my services and help more & more non-techie WordPress users through Host My Blog.

  • Nurture my newest platform for Recipe Bloggers viz FoodRecip.es
