This week we’re really excited to bring you a bunch of news on the MainWP Early Release Program and we can’t wait to tell you about it. We’ve also got a great article contributed by legal expert Donata Stroink-Skillrud about California and its Cybersecurity audit requirements.

A Whole Bunch of Early Release News

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been talking about the MainWP Early Release Program, and many of you have already joined (and contributed – thank you!). This week, we have several things to share about it. It’s next level Sh….tuff, and we’re pretty sure you’re going to want to get in on the action.

The MainWP Early Access Extension

We’re proud (and excited) to announce the release of the MainWP Early Access Extension! If you’ve been avoiding the program because it’s just too much effort to manually update the Dashboard every time we release a new update, you’re going to want to read about this.

• Early Access updates appear directly in the MainWP Dashboard, so there is no downloading ZIP files or installing updates by hand.
• Opt-in with a simple toggle to receive pre-release versions of the MainWP Dashboard and Child plugin through the normal update system.
• Easily roll back to the latest stable release at any time if you prefer not to stay on an early version (like it never even happened!).
• Test upcoming Dashboard changes before they go public, helping you spot issues early without impacting all of your sites.
• Provide real-world feedback that shapes the final release, making stable updates smoother and more predictable for the entire MainWP Community.

How to Install the Early Access Extension

1. Go to MainWP Dashboard > Add-ons page
2. Click the Install Add-ons button
3. Search for MainWP Early Access add-on
4. Select it in the list and click Install Selected Add-ons
5. After the installation, the page will automatically refresh
6. Finally, click the Activate Add-ons button to activate the license for the newly installed add-on
