Early Release Spotlight

This week, as we get closer to our next significant release, we’re putting out a call for help. Marc was on another episode of This Week in WordPress, plus a new poll and poll results. Check it all out below!

You Can Help Us Build Surprises (The Good Kind)

Have you ever updated a product to the latest version only to find bugs, annoyances, or changes that you weren’t ready for? If so, you’re exactly the person we’re looking for. At MainWP, we are always pushing the envelope, adding new features and looking for ways to make your WordPress Management workflow as efficient as possible. We also know that with the improvements, there comes the potential for surprises (both wanted and unwanted). That’s why we need you.

By joining the MainWP Early Release Program, you not only have the opportunity to see what’s coming and even use some of the new features before everyone else, but you also have the chance to give us valuable input on the next official release.

When you participate, everyone wins. New features, no surprises, and an inside track.

Check out what Version 5.5-er3 has for you:

  • Performance Optimizations: Have a large number of sites? Managing them is faster than ever.
  • New Default Dark Mode Theme: Not only is our new theme sleek and beautiful, it’s designed to reduce eye strain while maintaining excellent contrast and readability.
  • Plugin & Theme Management Improvements: You no longer need to deactivate plugins and themes prior to deletion. MainWP will intelligently handle the deactivation process, streamlining your workflow for significant time savings.
  • Customizable Site Change Tracking: Take full control of your sites’ change logs with new options to select exactly which changes to track, and more, allowing you to track what’s important to you.

Plus, we have an improved Support experience, allowing you to get quick help when you need it so we can help you out when you need it from within the MainWP dashboard.

This and more are already available to you in the Early Release, and we have more planned! So, give it a shot, get in early. We know you’ll be glad you did!

Another Fun Episode of “This Week in WordPress”

Did you happen to catch the latest episode of This Week in WordPress?

This week, Nathan hosted Taco Verdonschot, Steve Burge, and Marc Benzakein where (as Nathan puts it), things went delightfully off track. From doorbells to Wapuus (and whether or not they should be retired).

It wasn’t all fun and games as the panel also discussed things like diagnosing WordPress performance bottlenecks, WordPress-related events, and a lot more.

There was banter a-plenty from the panel as well as viewers keeping everyone on their toes and having fun.

If you missed the episode, you can check it out. And don’t forget to
tune in
every Monday at 12:00 PM Eastern for the weekly fun and informative discussions.

This Week’s Quick Poll: Where do you go first?

As we work on our next release, we are always looking for input on our UX/UI. Part of that has to do with where you go when you first log into MainWP.

This week we want to know: When you log into MainWP, what’s the first thing you usually do?

Your responses are anonymous (no email address required) and will help us decide how we talk about early access, how we share new features, and how we invite more people into the process.

Survey Says!

Survey results showing user responses to MainWP security poll

We also thought you’d like to see the results of last week’s survey, where we asked
When it comes to site security, which area do you worry about the most?

43.5% stated that plugin and theme vulnerabilities slipping through before patches are applied mattered the most.
39.1% said that human error topped the list, and 17.4% responded that weak or reused passwords were their greatest concern.

Thank you, everyone, for the great response to this poll! We value your input in these polls every week as they help us shape our futures together.
