It can be a pain to find out when the last time any of the installed plugins on your child site were last updated, but you may find yourself needing to. You would normally need to go to the plugin’s page on WordPress.org, then check the last updated section to see when the last time the plugin was updated on WordPress.org. Another way to search your installed plugins is to click on the developer tab of the plugin page on WordPress.org, to find previous updates and view the changelog.

To assist, there is now a lightweight and easy-to-use plugin called Plugin Condition. Once you have installed and activated the plugin on the child site, in the plugin list in wp-admin, it will display the last time that the plugin was updated. Also, the plugin condition plugin will add an admin dashboard widget which will show a status.

When you browse down the plugin list, you can see when the last time any of the plugin was last updated. This will allow you to know if the plugin is regularly updated, or if the plugin might have been closed without your knowledge.

Plugin conditions do have one settings page where you can clear the cache that is created and stored daily, to speed up when the plugin list was last updated. If you needed to clear the cache, click on the remove cache button, and it will clear the plugin conditions cache. The created transient that the plugin condition plugin stored the cached data in is called plg_cond_datas_.

Keeping track of when all plugins were last updated on the plugin list page of a child site will keep you informed on how actively updated all of the installed plugins are being updated, and increase efficiency for your sites.
