Previously, there was a premium plugin brands to be able to add that feature to your WooCommerce store. Recently, the brands plugin was merged into WooCommerce core as part of the effort to bring more features into WooCommerce core; this was in a beta version. WooCommerce brands feature in WooCommerce core is being enabled for all users in the WooCommerce 9.6 release, which is scheduled for release on the 20th of January.

Suppose you already have a custom taxonomy on your WooCommerce store for setting brands on products. In that case, you can disable the brand’s feature in WooCommerce core by using the following code snippet. The brands feature in WooCommerce does not have a feature toggle to be able to disable it only by changing an option value for the feature;

MainWP has an easy-to-use extension to save and execute code snippets on all connected sites, making it simple to deal with code snippets over multiple sites.

If you do not have brands enabled on a WooCommerce from a created product taxonomy, maybe using Pods for creating the custom taxonomy or using a different plugin to add that feature, then you should not need to disable the brand’s feature unless you do not want it enabled on your WooCommerce store.
