Tools for business: Use the Headliner App to create slick audiograms

Tools you can use for your business

Heads up: This page may include affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

What tools do you use to ease frustration with a task that you hate to do? Thank goodness some of these tools exist! I work in Canva almost every day, but that app doesn’t have a feature to remove backgrounds in an image.

Well today, we are going to take a look at an app that can remove backgrounds. We are also going to look at a web app that helps you layout your client personas. And finally, we are going to look at an app that will allow you to have just a little bit of fun. Seriously, you might find yourself playing with it three days later.

Let’s take a look at these three tools for business that will help ease the pain of simple tasks or your day to day doldrums.

Remove background images with this handy web app

I admit I’m not good with the image editing. Some of you can whip out Photoshop and do all kinds of cool things.

Over the years I have used many alternative programs. One I have used regularly is GIMP. I have struggled with removing backgrounds from images the few times I have tried.

I stopped trying.

Recently I was introduced to a web-based app that will handle this for me. Now I am looking for a reason to remove background images.

It is a free app.

“Remove.bg is a free service to remove the background of any photo. It works 100% automatically: You don’t have to manually select the background/foreground layers to separate them – just select your image and instantly download the result image with the background removed!”
Remove.bg

There are some limitations as of yet because it only outputs 500X500 pixels. They are working that. The app is powered by Artificial Intelligence. I tried it on an image I have used before and was amazed at what it accomplished.

For some of us who aren’t Photoshop experts, this can come in real handy.

Create a persona for your audience with the Persona App

I have a love/hate relationship with personas. That is for another discussion. Nevertheless, if you need to create a persona, at least the worksheet with the information part, this is an easy option.

You will need to have your data ready to input. Or you can use it to test your hypothesis according to the website,

What personas are great for

  • Documenting the assumptions (hypotheses) about the user. (So that you can validate them through research.)
  • Shifting your mindset away from “business models” and software, and into user-centered thinking.
  • Getting everyone aligned around a single vision of who you’re making the product for.
  • Making design decisions less abstract and more human.
  • Developing clear need statements before planning the product development (iteration planning, roadmap, story mapping, feature prioritization, etc.)
    Persona App

Basically, the website gives a framework for using the app and creating a persona. I believe that you create the persona after doing the research, but it depends on your process. With this app, you can create a worksheet which will allow everyone on your team to be on the same page.

I would love to see different options for the face rather than the cartoon type options. There may be some complexity with doing that, so we have to use the provided images for now.

Sharing is easy. You have the option to export as a PDF, share as a link, or print out the worksheet.

Having fun with the Headliner Voice App

Recently found a voice app by the makers of the Headliner App. What fun it is!

You navigate to the online app, you choose one of the famous persons (influencers). Then, you type in the text you want that person to speak.

You can preview, or listen to, your influencer say your message to make sure it sounds okay. There is a button to download an MP3 of the recording.

From there, you head over to the Headliner app. You drop the file into Audiogram wizard. Then you follow the prompts, add an image for the background if you wish, and wait for it to process your audiogram.

Once you are finished, click the export button. After a few seconds, you will have a freshly created audiogram.

With the headliner app, you can also create an Article to Video, a Video Transcript or a custom project.
It is all completely free to use for these short social media media-driven pieces of media.

The application adds a little fun to our everyday life. Give it a whirl.

Wrapping it up

Whether it is removing backgrounds from images, creating a persona that can be used by your team or creating fun audiograms, these apps can help you be more productive, or they can distract you from what you need to do.

Tools and apps can be super helpful and fun. Maybe you can use one of these tools for business. What apps do you use that are helpful for your business? Let us know over at the Facebook MainWP Users Group!
