Three observations about how business are or can make adjustments during the coronavirus pandemic

For many of us in the digital space, the virus outbreak hasn’t made a big difference. It is business as usual for us as we are almost entirely remote.  For others, the situation is direr. Restaurants are being forced to close, some businesses are laying off workers, and the future is uncertain. One thing I have seen locally is the number of people who are stepping up to help the community. I have seen friends offer to run errands for others, giving tips for working remotely (to those suddenly working remotely), offering homeschool help, offering homemade soap products to anyone

Why You Should Wait to Update to WooCommerce 4.0

WooCommerce 4.0 was released on the 10th March. It is a major new release and the two major changes are the merging of the WooCommerce Admin and updating the Action Scheduler to version 3.1. The WooCommerce Admin has existed as a featured plugin since April 2019. The WooCommerce Admin uses code now in WordPress 5.3 to be able to use React for powering some of the UI elements. The WooCommerce Admin uses a number of custom database tables in order to store the analytics data in those lookup tables in order to improve the reporting that is included in WooCommerce.

3 No-frills tips for writing more engaging content that grabs your reader’s attention like a Wonder Woman movie

I love good hooks as much as the next person. We see them in movies all the time. One of my favorite movies in the past couple of years was Wonder Woman. The film, of course, has Gal Gadot playing Diana, Princess of the Themyscira. I always loved the TV series with Linda Carter. In the movie, the scene pans from earth to modern-day, where Diana is going to her office. At the same time, an armored truck pulls up with Wayne Enterprises on the side. Two men get out, and one delivers a briefcase to Diana. As she opens

Tools Roundup: Keep in touch with clients using appointment scheduling software

In 2019, the social media sharing app Buffer published a report on the state of remote work. Not surprisingly, one of their conclusions is that remote work is not a fad. According to the study, “Of our respondents, 99% said they would like to work remotely at least some of the time for the rest of their careers. Q&A with Ben Townsend, content creator and host of RaffleWP

I enjoy the ability to meet people online. There is very little like bonding with someone on Twitter or Facebook because of WordPress, content, or love for a sport. The person may be hundreds of miles away or on a different continent, but ultimately we can see how small this world is sometimes. Such is the case with Ben Townsend. I met him on Twitter last year. One thing I really appreciate about Ben, aside from his love for WordPress, is his passion for creating good content. He ran a successful blog, but then recently, he transitioned to RaffleWP. The
