Product Ideas and Chrome Ext. v3

MainWP continues to introduce updates focused on improving the day-to-day experience for WordPress professionals. Recent changes include the release of MainWP Browser Extension 3.0 and Comments 6.0, along with other ongoing improvements aimed at giving users more visibility, control, and efficiency while managing their sites. One of the biggest new additions is the MainWP Browser Extension for Chrome.

MainWP Browser Extension 3.0

This MainWP Extension adds Updated Monitoring, Time Tracking, Cost Tracking, and Better Dashboard Visibility

MainWP Browser Extension 3.0 gives MainWP users a more practical way to stay on top of daily site management directly from the browser toolbar. In addition to monitoring WordPress updates across child sites, the latest release introduces Time Tracker and Cost Tracker support, making it easier to keep track of active work, upcoming renewals, and changes made outside the Dashboard. Everything connects securely to your self-hosted MainWP Dashboard over HTTPS, with your data staying fully under your control.

Product Updates

A fresh round of MainWP updates landed this week, with improvements that should make everyday site management a little smoother, especially if you rely on bulk actions, activity logs, analytics, security scans, or third-party integrations in your workflow.

MainWP Core

MainWP Dashboard 6.0.12

This brings a few practical refinements to the Dashboard experience. Bulk syncing has been improved for better performance, site data handling has been tightened up to prevent edge-case errors, and auto-update events are now recorded more reliably in the Network Activity logs. For teams that depend on activity history for client reporting or troubleshooting, that added visibility matters.

MainWP Child 6.0.11

MainWP Child 6.0.11 includes a fix for a legacy WordPress Customizer-related issue connected to the global customize_register hook. It is a focused update, but an important one for keeping child site behavior consistent across different WordPress setups.

MainWP Core – Early Release

We also published MainWP Dashboard 6.1-er.1 for Early Release users. This version includes internal connection-handling changes and broader code quality improvements. Because of those connection updates, rolling back from 6.1 to a version earlier than 6.1 may temporarily disconnect child sites. If that happens, affected sites can be reconnected from the Manage Sites page using the Reconnect bulk action.

MainWP Add-ons

On the integrations side, Google Analytics Integration 6.0.2 received one of the more visible updates. Account management is easier now, with bulk account selection, batch actions for refreshing data or removing accounts, smarter per-account actions, and improved table behavior. The reconnection process was also improved to help prevent duplicate Google Analytics properties, while expanded system checks and error reporting make it easier to identify issues with missing server support such as BCMath or getmypid().

The Virusdie Integration 5.0.2 update improves communication with the Virusdie API and resolves a sign-out usability issue, making the connection experience more reliable.

Cost Tracker Assistant 5.0.9 improves cron scheduling reliability, helping recurring cost-tracking tasks run more consistently in the background.

Finally, Wordfence Integration 5.1.3 improves scan activity status tracking and makes scan-stage UI handling more efficient, giving you a clearer view of security scan progress across connected sites.

Overall, these releases are centered on the kinds of refinements that save time in daily agency workflows: more reliable logs, better bulk management, cleaner reconnect flows, and fewer rough edges when working across multiple client sites.

Documentation Updates

New: Skip suspended sites in Pro Reports explains how scheduled reports now exclude suspended child sites, what happens when all selected sites are suspended, and how advanced users can override the behavior when needed.

The MainWP Browser Extension guide was expanded for the current Chrome experience, including MainWP Dashboard 5.2+ requirements, REST API v2 Bearer token setup, HTTPS requirements, Time Tracker, Cost Tracker, migration guidance, troubleshooting, and toolbar badge behavior.

The Disable WP-Cron guide now includes more complete cron setup coverage for MainWP Dashboard and Add-ons, including Cost Tracker Assistant, Patchstack, Regression Testing, Domain Monitor continuation jobs, and additional core scheduled tasks.

Regression Testing now documents delayed post-update scans, helping users wait 1-60 minutes after updates so caches, CDNs, page builders, and background tasks can settle before snapshots are captured.

The Pressable guide now better explains setup requirements, current Add-ons navigation, and available bulk hosting actions such as enabling/disabling sites, converting live/staging sites, managing CDN, and opening phpMyAdmin.
