In this month’s MainWP Roundup, we are going to talk about one thing, the 2024 Site Care Consultants Survey.
This year will be the fourth year we have conducted this survey of Site Care Consultants. We would love your feedback.
As is the case each previous year, the information is not shared with a third party. It is only shared with the MainWP team for our report.
I guess it was in 2021 that I thought having a Site Care Consultant survey was something we should do. A hallmark of great content is original thought and original information.
I have to say that I have also been inspired by Orbit Media’s Blogging Survey and other reports in the marketing world.
MainWP is the most popular open-source solution for managing multiple websites, therefore we have a large swatch of people to get data from. You don’t have to be a MainWP user to fill out the survey, but we share it with our community first.
It’s a great opportunity to get data on how much someone charges for site care consultant services, the duration for payments and other information such as service add-ons.
We invite you to fill out the survey and then share it with your colleagues in the industry.
This is the fourth year we have rolled out the survey. You can see the results from previous years at the links below.
This year’s survey, I spent some time trying to improve and evolve the survey. I solicited input from Marc Benzakein and Jos Klever, who gave me some great feedback.
First, we created a demographic section which is totally optional. We are interested in getting data about age, ethnicity, location, gender, and language.
It will be interesting to see those breakdowns in the Site Care Consultant community.
Next, I added Google Converter so that you can more easily convert your country’s currency into USD since we use USD for the purpose of this survey.
Third, I am curious how many sites our consultants manage, so I added a question about that. Additionally, if someone answers more than 500, I would like to know that number. We also want to know if they have a custom MainWP setup to make that work.
Next up is the Addon services. I combined the two sections we have had the past few years. That makes the section longer, but it is all in one place. I looked back to previous years to get a feel for services that people offer that weren’t on our survey. Of course, there is an “other” if none of the choices meet your needs.
We have a business marketing section and I added a few choices to the content marketing question that weren’t included before. There is an optional question for other types of marketing that I may not have thought of.
A final new option was Survey Feedback. I separated that from the last question. “Anything else we should know?” The Survey Feedback questions give responders a chance to give feedback for the survey while still preserving the last question.
What’s next? Now it’s time to fill out the survey and share with your colleagues in the industry! We appreciate you filling out the form and making this data available for you.
