Artificial Intelligence has long moved past something that existed only in sci-fi films and books. One of the biggest technology growth areas is AI, with many options that can be used on your child sites to either recommend content, to customers, or using AI to power a chat bot on site, which will give intelligent answers based on the customer’s questions.

IBM is one of the many companies that has researched AI for decades. IBM Watson can power everything from healthcare, advertising, and call centers, and can be applied to most markets.

IBM Watson Assistant is a very easy way to add an AI-powered chatbot to your child site. First you will need to sign up for a IBM Cloud lite account.

If you use WooCommerce on your child site, then PureClarity is one option which provides an AI-driven recommendation engine.

PureClarity has a plugin for WooCommerce, which is easily installed and set up. First, you will need to install and activate the PureClarity plugin for WooCommerce. Once your account has been approved, you can retrieve the AccessKey and SecretKey which can be found at  My Account > Integration.

Copy the API access key into the PureClarity plugin settings and click Save. Next, you will need to run the multiple data feeds for products, category, user, and order. Once the data feeds have been indexed into PureClarity, the recommends on the site will show.

After you have set up the creds from PureClarity admin on your child site, the data from your site will then be indexed using the PureClarity API.

Another AI solution for your child site is Algorithmia, which provides a marketplace of solutions using AI that can be applied to any hooks and filters in WordPress. One solution if using Algorithmia would be content-based recommendations on your child site.
