Your MainWP Dashboard and the GDPR

MainWP GDPR

Heads up: This page may include affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

As the May 25th 2018 deadline moves closer you may be wondering how your MainWP Dashboard is impacted by the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR.

As a self-hosted solution we do not track any information about your clients or your child sites. That means we are neither a controller or processor of your users data (we will have an additional blog post closer to the deadline on your information and the MainWP site).

This means you do not need a Data Processing Agreement from MainWP for your client or child sites. However, you may want to keep in mind that you may need them from other entities that connect to your MainWP Dashboard such as if any of your clients backups are stored off-site or from the host of your MainWP Dashboard.

If you still have questions regarding the GDPR I recommend Todd’s Roundup post, Don’t let the GDPR sink you!, from a couple of weeks back.
