From Audit Request to Final Report

Recent updates focus on improving the reliability of everyday site management. From audit requests to final reports, enhancements across MainWP help create a more dependable workflow for collecting, processing, and presenting site data, while additional updates strengthen reporting, maintenance, and the overall management experience.

Product Updates

This round of updates focuses on more reliable audit scheduling, safer Google Search Console communication, and cleaner client reports.

For agencies and site care teams, that means fewer reporting inconsistencies, fewer empty sections, and more dependable output when preparing client-facing reports.

Lighthouse 5.3

Lighthouse 5.3 improves how audits are scheduled and requested.

  • Disabled schedules are now respected correctly, while existing schedule listings remain available for review.
  • The Lighthouse audit endpoint now uses POST requests, providing more appropriate handling for actions that start new audits.
  • Database schema validation support helps the extension check that its required database structure is in place.

These changes make scheduled performance checks more predictable and reduce confusion when managing audit settings across multiple sites.

Google Search Console 6.1

Google Search Console 6.1 improves authentication handling and the reliability of generated client reports.

Authentication messages exchanged through the connection popup now receive stronger validation. Reporting settings also behave more consistently on a site-by-site basis, including sections configured to be hidden or hidden when empty.

The update also improves how missing data is handled. Tokens and report sections can fall back to their default values, reducing blank or incomplete report output. Chart links and merged token data have also been refined so generated reports contain more accurate and complete information.

Database schema validation support is included as well, helping maintain the extension’s required database structure.

Pro Reports 5.1.6

Pro Reports 5.1.6 brings several presentation improvements to agency report templates.

Optional sections now appear only when content is available, preventing empty containers from taking up space in completed reports.

Report title styling has also been adjusted with improved sizing, line height, and text wrapping. Accent color handling is simpler and more consistent, helping longer report titles display more cleanly across different agency templates.

The result is cleaner client-facing reports with fewer layout issues and less manual review before sending.

Documentation Updates

  • Wordfence now features updated setup and navigation guidance, clearer network-wide versus per-site settings, and current workflows for scans, dashboard actions, and live traffic monitoring.
  • Cost Tracker now clarifies cost assignments to sites, clients, or tags, points to the current settings location, and explains 30-day cost forecasts across site and client tables.
  • Manage Child Sites now explains the Site Hardening changes in MainWP Dashboard 5.4, including why some security checks no longer display a Fix action.
  • Lighthouse now clarifies that legacy REST API v1 audit requests must use POST, helping users avoid failures caused by unsupported GET requests.

Together, these updates make audits more predictable, reporting more consistent, and client deliverables more polished. Combined with the latest documentation improvements, they help you spend less time troubleshooting and more time managing your WordPress sites with confidence.
