Recently, one of my copywriter friends took some courses on Master Class while business was slow. It was a chance for her to learn from some masters in various areas of business, art, music, and more. It is always good for us to learn from experts in other areas.
By now, undoubtedly you have dozens of podcasts on your list that you watch on a regular basis. You may have also stepped outside the WordPress space to listen to various other podcasts.
There are so many areas from which we can learn, especially in an area where we might need to learn more to be better in business.
Today we are going to look at three digital marketing podcasts that might inspire you to learn about a different area for your business.
The Hot Copy Podcast
Stepping outside your comfort zone a tad is this copywriting podcast from veteran copywriters Kate Toon and Belinda Weaver. Both are located in Australia and both are well-known personalities in the copywriting world.
Toon has a successful copywriting course, an SEO e-course, and the host of multiple courses.
Weaver has one of my favorite copywriting blogs at Copywrite Matters. She also has her own copywriting courses and coaches other copywriters as well.
Together this duo brings the fire. I guess that is why the podcast is called the Hot Copy Podcast.
Admittedly, this podcast is for copywriters and the practice of being a freelance copywriter, but you can gain lots of insight into copywriting by picking up some of the shows.
Duct Tape Marketing Podcast
So, who would think to combine digital marketing with a roll of duct tape? That would be John Jantsch, that’s who. Duct Tape Marketing is one of the most respected and popular digital marketing blogs and systems focusing on small business.
Duct Tape Marketing (DTM) is responsible for five popular books including SEO For Growth: The Ultimate SEO Guide For Marketers and Duct Tape Marketing: The World’s Most Practical Small Business Guide.
The DTM website includes fourteen comprehensive guides on various topics of digital marketing.

Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
If you are in online business and you don’t know who Amy Porterfield is, you will need to catch up. She has influenced and inspired many people in the online world.
Recently I sat on a webinar where she talked about doing an e-course Even though the webinar was all about getting us to buy the course, it was an amazing webinar. She brought some super valuable content, especially for those who are thinking about doing an e-course.
She started her podcast all the way back in 2013. She has 251 episodes on deck. The latest podcast is with online marketer Marie Forleo.
Wrapping it up
Being in business means we have to know about a lot of different areas. We don’t have to be an expert, but we do need to know something about other areas.
Podcasts are a great way to dip your toes in other areas such as copywriting. If the hosts of the podcasts do a great job of bringing the value and the story it can be a great way to learn much more to help you in the long run.
