MainWP Becomes a True Privacy-First WordPress Manager!
Today, I am happy to announce MainWP 4.2, a relatively big release that includes a lot of privacy updates for us, you, and your clients. Your Privacy Guaranteed Being focused on privacy, we tweaked a few things at our end: For the Plugins: We worked with Donata Stroink-Skillrud of agency attorneys. Donata is not only an attorney focused on privacy, but she is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). Along with that, she is the Chair of the American Continue reading the post...

Published on January 4, 2022 by Dennis Dornon under About, Important Updates, MainWP News, MainWP Updates
In 2020, many businesses struggled to survive, so many of us looked around and questions arose of what the world would be like in upcoming years. However, 2021 was also a tough year for businesses to accept the Digital-first reality. According to W3Techs, WordPress now powers more than 65% of the entire Content Management Market Share opening more opportunities for Developers, Freelancers, and Agencies to dive into website management and start offering Website Care Plans. We, at MainWP, are more Continue reading the post...
MainWP Dashboard 4.1.10 and Child 4.1.8 Update
The 4.1.10 update of the MainWP Dashboard continues where the 4.1.9 update left off, with this update also focusing on usability and cosmetic changes. The cosmetic changes are as follows, for a full rundown, check the changelog. The MainWP Child update to 4.1.8 consists of mostly bug fixes and a redesign of a notice for a rundown of those changes, check the changelog. Maintenance Extension: Some Cleaning Up
This update is to clean up the look of this Extension and bring it into line with the current MainWP design standards. 404 Email Alerts We Removed 404 Error Email alerts. Support was receiving too many complaints about the number of emails sent without resolving the 404 problem. So we turned this off for new users. If this is a feature you need, I recommend a plugin dedicated to the problem, such as 404 to 301. If you had the Continue reading the post...
MainWP Branding renamed MainWP White Label
We have changed MainWP Branding Extension to MainWP White Label Extension in version 4.1 to better fit in with the current WordPress lexicon. We also included some visual changes and bug fixes with this update. Name Change Of course, the most significant difference is the name change. Note: We have purposely left the slug the same to allow for easy updating. Tool Tips Added informative tooltips to each form field so you can see what action that field performs without Continue reading the post...

The 4.1.9 update is primarily a cosmetic update with a few minor bug fixes. The cosmetic changes are as follows, for a full rundown, check the changelog. Header Menu: For all pages with a “Screen Options” choice (the button), we have added a “Reset Page” button to the bottom left that restores that page to the default setup from install. This reset includes any moved or removed widgets and columns. We switched the checkboxes from being checked to represent hiding Continue reading the post...
MainWP Support Updates
I wanted to touch base with the support projects we’ve been working on and testing throughout the year. We’ve worked as a team to tweak our support system, improving its ability to handle the larger number of users MainWP has gained this year. Many of the projects have been going on in the background as we ran through multiple A/B tests and workflows. Some have been released in plain sight like the new Knowledgebase and others like the MainWP Community Continue reading the post...
MainWP 4.1 released – New Features and Code Changes
The MainWP team has been working for a few months on MainWP 4.1, a relatively big release that includes one of the most significant refactorings and documentation of the MainWP Dashboard and Child codebase ever. This release was internally codenamed “Developer,” but it could have been just as easy to call it “Code Clean-Up,” and we didn’t do this just for fun. These changes were needed to remove spaghetti code and pay off the technical debt created over the years. Continue reading the post...
Keith Crain joins the MainWP support staff!
We take support very seriously, and it’s not too often we allow someone new to interact with MainWP users directly. If fact, we take working with MainWP users so seriously that it’s been over three years since we hired our last direct response person, Sanja Tosanovic. Some of you may have already interacted with Keith as we both ran each other through a trial to be sure it was a good fit. Keith’s stats show him handling over 220 responses Continue reading the post...
MainWP reaches 1500 5-star reviews on WordPress.org
It’s been just a few short months since we celebrated our fourth anniversary of being a plugin on WordPress.org and today I am excited to announce that the MainWP Dashboard has reached 1500 5 Star Reviews! This number really comes from the strength of everyone in our growing, yet dedicated community. It’s tough to truly visualize that 1500 number when it comes to WordPress.org reviews so I put together a quick unscientific table to better illustrate the point. Let’s see Continue reading the post...
